Introduction

Hi everyone! 👋

👩‍🦰👩‍🦱 We're Amy and Sunny, the team behind Bin Genius! We're developing a new generation of smart trash bins that combine AI and IoT technologies to teach students across Canada about proper waste sorting and inspire environmental awareness. 🌳🐧

🏆 Bin Genius was recently recognized as a top-five innovation in the British Columbia and Yukon Youth Innovation Showcase 2024 Competition. But this is just the beginning! We're passionate about making Bin Genius a community project used in schools nationwide to create a cleaner, greener future.

👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Want to join us on this journey? We're looking for passionate individuals who share our vision. Together, we can make a real difference!

How Bin Genius Works

Step 1

If a student puts waste into a wrong bin

Step 2

The bin will send an alert with light and sound.

Step 3

The student will have to take that waste out and put it to the correct bin.
